What are cookies?
A cookie is a small file with a character code that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. If you visit the website again afterwards, the website can recognize your browser using the cookie. Cookies can store user preferences and other information. They are a time-saving tool that informs the web server when you have returned to a particular page.
Cookies used by the website operator (in this case eurammon e. V.) are called “first-party” or “basic cookies”. Cookies set by external parties – i.e. not by the website operator – are called “third-party cookies”, e.g. those used by Hubspot, Instagram and Facebook. Third-party cookies activate third-party functions or applications that are provided via or on the website (such as advertising, interactive content and analytics routines). The external parties who use these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and when you visit certain other websites.
