Recent laboratory testing of a CO₂ (R744) heat pump system has revealed substantial performance gains when operating conditions are aligned with the thermodynamic characteristics of transcritical CO₂ technology. The results provide strong evidence that current European performance testing standards do not reflect the efficiency potential of CO₂ heat pumps.

eurammon participated in the IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference & Heavy Equipment Expo 2026, which took place from March 15–18, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. As one of the world's leading events for natural refrigeration, the conference brought together industry experts, policymakers, and technology leaders to exchange knowledge and drive progress in sustainable refrigeration.

Renovation and retrofitting with natural refrigerants can cut emissions, conserve resources, and future-proof existing infrastructure. This joint webinar with the Green Cooling Initiative gives a strategic overview of the role of natural refrigerants along the supply chain, followed by insights from the renovation of the European Patent Office in Vienna.

The European safety standard EN 378, crucial for the safe use of natural refrigerants in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems, is currently under revision. Eurammon will contribute by activating members and supporters of natural refrigerants to engage during the consultation period from 3 July to 25 September 2025.

The 2nd Industrial Refrigeration Network (IRN) Conference, held on 4–5 June 2025 at the BITZER SCHAUFLER Academy in Germany, brought together key players from across the industrial refrigeration sector to exchange insights on the newest technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments.

On 15.-16. May 2025 eurammon held its annual members meeting in Mannheim, Germany - a well-attended and productive gathering.

On 31 March 2025, eurammon hosted an internal webinar with Christine Lützkendorf, Policy Adviser for Fluorinated Gases at Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH). March 2025: At the 2025 IIAR Natural Refrigeration Conference in Phoenix, USA, eurammon and the International Institute of All-Natural Refrigeration (IIAR) renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
