eurammon at Chillventa
Chillventa – the new international tradeshow for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps – came to a successful end in Nuremberg on 17 October 2008, having attracted over 800 exhibitors and nearly 30,000 visitors. eurammon, one of the conceptual sponsors of the event, was also happy with the trade fair response: more than 100 planners, operators and builders of refrigeration facilities from around the world attended its English speaking lecture series “Refrigeration Applications with Natural Refrigerants”. In 20-minute lectures, experienced refrigeration experts spoke about the use of carbon dioxide in air-conditioning and supermarket refrigeration, the advantages of using ammonia in the meat-processing industry, and the present status and future of ammonia refrigeration systems in the Ukraine. Afterwards, “friends of natural refrigerants” were invited to a eurammon brunch, where they had the opportunity to share their thoughts about the lectures, talk about the latest technology developments, and network with members of the international refrigeration and air-conditioning community.
eurammon also took the Chillventa as an occasion to publish an English speaking magazine about natural refrigerants. Entitled “Refrigerants by Nature”, it showcases outstanding refrigeration projects in various industries, presents new components and systems using ammonia, and explores the political and legal conditions governing the use of refrigerants.
The next Chillventa will take place from 13–15 October 2010 in Nuremberg.
