eurammon Invitation to the 2011 End-Users Day

The initiative for natural refrigerants informs end-users about future-proof solutions in refrigeration and air-conditioning

Frankfurt, July 28, 2011 –"Natural Refrigerants: Future-proof Solutions for Today": this is the title of the second information event on the financial and ecological benefits provided by natural refrigerants. The end-users day which is organised by eurammon, the initiative for natural refrigerants, will take place on 7 October 2011 in Paradies, Schaffhausen (near Zurich). During this symposium, being held in English, eurammon will be informing end-users, planners, system engineers and other interested parties about the possible applications of natural refrigerants. Statutory regulations such as the European Regulation on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases will also be featured, as well as the life-cycle costs of refrigeration plants.

"In view of increasing energy prices and global warming, companies feel an obligation to develop sustainability concepts for counteracting the progression of climate change", says Mark Bulmer, member of the eurammon Board. "Natural refrigerants have a contribution to make here as they have little or no influence on the greenhouse effect. Furthermore, refrigeration plants with natural refrigerants operate on a high level of energetic efficiency, which pays off in terms of reduced carbon emissions and lower operating costs. The papers presented at the symposium will include various interesting examples from practical applications."

During the event, eurammon will be presenting the Natural Refrigeration Award and the Honour Award, the latter being presented for the first time for forward-looking exemplary projects that companies develop in the context of sustainable, energy-efficient refrigeration and air-conditioning.

The eurammon End-Users Day 2011 also includes a branch get-together which is being held on the evening before the event. All those interested in attending can find the event flyer and registration form on the eurammon website www.eurammon.com. The participation fee amounts to €200 plus VAT. For more information, please call eurammon on +49 (0)69 6603 1276 or send an e-mail to gaby.heinrich@vdma.org.
